Give the Safety Officer a daily answer to four questions: what changed, what needs attention, why, and what should happen next. Safety Signals combine weak indicators into a reviewable risk hypothesis without asserting causation or wrongdoing.
Consolidate occupational injury, illness and exposure information so repeat mechanisms, follow-up state and prevention opportunities can be reviewed without exposing restricted clinical or HR detail to unauthorized roles.
Treat near misses as high-value preventive data: make reporting useful, cluster recurring circumstances and connect validated patterns to training, fleet, facility, policy or operational mitigations.
Combine collision and backing events with operational and telematics context when authorized, then measure what changes after coaching, policy, equipment or staffing interventions.
Connect recurrent scene hazards and difficult patient movement to operational context so agencies can pre-plan for violence, roadside exposure, access constraints, stair carries, bariatric movement and other repeat injury mechanisms.
Frame workload as a system condition—not proof that a specific clinician is unsafe. Relate call density, high-acuity workload, late clears, prolonged incidents, downtime and authorized scheduling data only where the evidence supports it.
Map and rank repeated safety concentrations while preserving privacy and distinguishing raw event counts from rate-based risk so busy locations are not automatically labelled unsafe.
Close the loop from detection to review, mitigation, assigned ownership, monitoring and measured outcome—then summarize material change for executives, supervisors, training and field teams.
